Milford’s Creative Studio Built for
Connecticut Entrepreneurs

Siblings Karena Rumble-Carter and Brad Rumble turned an empty space in Milford's Devon neighborhood into a thriving creative hub for Connecticut's small business and creative community. This is their story.

THE STORY

When Brad Rumble and his sister Karena Rumble-Carter started renovating a raw commercial space at 427 Naugatuck Ave in Milford, they did most of the work themselves. New floors, new fixtures, new vision. What they built became Rumble Creative Studios, a photography and video studio, event space, and creative resource for Connecticut entrepreneurs who have big ideas but limited access to professional tools.

RCS opened its doors in late summer 2025 and wasted no time building community, hosting its first event, a Galentine's Wine Down in February 2026, which drew 20 guests and sponsors including Athletic Brewing and Halfday, well before the studio even had its official ribbon cutting. By April 2026, the momentum was undeniable. On April 9, the studio celebrated an official ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Milford Mayor Ben Smith and members of the Milford Chamber of Commerce. Two days later, RCS hosted its first major community pop-up event featuring 8 Connecticut vendors and a live fashion show. The room was full. The energy was electric. And for Milford, it was a clear signal that something significant had taken root.

Both founders bring deep entrepreneurial experience to everything RCS does. Brad Rumble is a professional photographer and visual media entrepreneur with a decade of experience spanning portraits, weddings, engagements, family photography, and real estate media. He is the founder of Rumble Realty Media, a real estate photography company serving Connecticut and Westchester County, NY, whose clients include agents from Coldwell Banker, Compass, Keller Williams, and Houlihan Lawrence. Karena Rumble-Carter brings an MBA, PMP certification, and over 8 years of project management experience across healthcare, insurance, and IT, along with a background in entrepreneurship that includes founding Krumble Krafts, a handmade goods business with over 1,000 sales featured on The Knot and showcased at the Big E.

Together they are building something Milford has not had before: an affordable, professional, community-first creative space that keeps Connecticut talent in Connecticut. Brad brings the lens. Karena brings the blueprint. And Rumble Creative Studios is what happens when both come together.

Sibling-Owned Creative Studio Makes Its Mark in Milford with Back-to-Back Milestone Events

MILFORD, CT, May 2026 — Rumble Creative Studios (RCS), a sibling-owned, Black-owned photography and video studio located at 427 Naugatuck Ave in Milford's Devon neighborhood, has quickly established itself as one of Connecticut's most exciting new creative spaces since opening its doors in August 2025. In just its first several months of operation, the studio has hosted a series of community events that have drawn local leaders, Connecticut businesses, and creative professionals from across the state.

Before the studio even had an official ribbon cutting, it was already building community. On February 6, 2026, RCS hosted its inaugural Galentine's Wine Down, an evening event that brought 20 guests through the studio doors for candle making, skincare, charcuterie, sweet treats, wine and non-alcoholic sips, permanent jewelry, and giveaways. The event was made possible by 13 local sponsors and businesses including Athletic Brewing, Halfday, Luxe Carts by Missy, Oh D'Luxe, Skinfusion Beauty Studio, Interlinked, Hey Valentine, Made by T Gift Shop, Alia's Cafe, WaterBoy, Ripple Float and Wellness Center, and Solei Beauty Bar. The turnout confirmed what the founders already believed: Milford was ready for a space like this.

On April 9, 2026, Rumble Creative Studios celebrated its official grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Milford Mayor Ben Smith and members of the Milford Chamber of Commerce, alongside local business owners and community supporters. The event marked a milestone moment for one of Milford's dedicated photography and video studio spaces available to the public.

Two days later, on April 11, 2026, RCS opened its doors to the broader Connecticut community for the RCS Pop-Up Social: Spring Edition. Eight Connecticut-based vendors set up shop inside the studio, a live fashion show and DJ kept the energy going throughout the day. The event drew attendees from across the state and showcased the full range of what the studio space can hold, from retail and brand activations to live entertainment and community gathering.

"We wanted to create a space where creatives and small business owners in Connecticut could access professional studio resources without traveling to New York," said Karena Rumble-Carter, co-founder of Rumble Creative Studios. "Seeing this community show up the way they have, from our very first event to a room full of vendors, a live fashion show, and the Mayor at our ribbon cutting, has been everything we envisioned and we are just getting started."

Looking ahead, RCS is bringing its biggest event yet to Milford this summer. The RCS Food Festival, a free community celebration of flavors, culture, and creativity, is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 427 Naugatuck Ave. All are welcome.

Rumble Creative Studios offers photography and video studio rentals, brand photoshoots, workshops, seasonal sets, intimate event space, and business strategy consulting, with rates starting at $125 per hour. The studio features professional lighting, backdrops, a podcast corner, and meeting and event furniture.
